At Embark Psychology Calgary, we’ve created a calm, welcoming space with children, teens, and families in mind. From our cozy reception with drinks and snacks & free wifi, to our child-friendly playroom, every detail helps you feel comfortable while you wait.
Welcoming & Calm Reception
Our reception area is designed to help children and families feel calm and welcome! The space is quiet, comfortable and intentionally free from overstimulation. We have soft music playing, snacks and beverages available for you, comfy cushions to make you feel at home, and free wifi so you can browse or work during your child’s session. Siblings also have a fun and cozy playroom to use while they wait!
Bright & Colourful Playroom
Our playroom is a fun and welcoming environment where children can relax, explore, and engage with things around them. It’s filled with sensory-friendly materials, a cozy reading nook with a variety of books for all reading levels, various toys, a kids tent with squishy cushions, and a colouring area to let our their creativity! It’s there for kids to use before or during a break in their session, or for siblings while they wait.
Offices & More
The offices exteriors are decorated to look like cozy little cottages, with mirror ‘windows’, flowers, and mailboxes - each with their own colour. Inside the offices, we have built a quiet space that’s organized and thoughtfully designed for kids, teens, and adults. Each space allows for focused attention while feeling safe and comfortable. Bright spaces, comfortable chairs and toys galore! The offices are decorated in a warm but neutral manner so it’s not distracting during our sessions.
